ROTARY AND DOUGLAS CREDIT

Sj r _Mr A. Howard Fry attacks Air O. Holst for placing Major Douglas’ proposals before the Rotary Club. He states that Rotarians mostly uphold the present system of private enterprise. I would, respectfully, like Afr Fry to answer a few questions. I.—What is the motto of Rotary?

2. —i s Mr Fry satisfied with the remits of the present economic system?

3.—Wherein do Alttjor Douglas’ proposals interfere with private business or profits? I understand that the motto of Rotary is “Service Before Self.” If this is so. I fail to see where Afr Fry can complain of proposals that will give to a large number of his less fortunate brethren a life that will bo free from financial worry; a life that will have every opportunity to develop the highest qualities in human nature, and a system that will abolish the root causes of poverty, crime and war. Thanking vou, I am. et>c.. MARCUS JAMES. November 14.
