Mr G. Pitkothley. boys’ work director and assistant general secretary of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A.. has been appointed to the position of boys’ work director of the, Dunedin Y.M.C.A. and will take up his duties in Januarv.
A Sydney message reports the death of Air Samuel 'McKay, managingdirector of the Sunshine Harvester Works, Victoria : aged 69 years. He was one of the official advisors to tho Australian delegation to the Ottawa Conference.
Air H. A'alder, of Hamilton, District Governor of Rotary, is at present on a tour of the Rotary “lubs of New Zealand. He was a guest at yesterday’s meeting of tho Wanganui Club, being accompanied by Aliss Valder. Both left bv car for the south yesterday.
Mr J. A. AfcEldowncy, who was formerly secretary of the 5 .Af.C.A. at Wuuganui and is now stationed at Christchurch, is at present visiting Wanganui. Mr AlcEldowney, who is on his way south after spending a holiday in Auckland, was a guest at yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Rotary Club.
The death has occurred at Dunedin at the age of 67 years of Air Edward Aslin, a well-known barrister, who was formerly in partnership with the late Air H. D. Bedford, AI.P. Tho late Air Aslin, who recently returned from a visit to England, was a prominent member of the Methodist Church. A sister, Alias Aslin, resides at Gonville.
