PRINCE TURNED AWAY
When the Prince of Wales, with Prince George went to Biarritz recently he expressed the desire to Le permitted to go about like an ordinary visitor, says the Daily Mail. It is stated that the Prince was suddenly—though not intentionally—treated as ••n ordinary visitor one evening when he presented himself at tho casino in sports clothes. The door-keeper refused to allow him to enter in this attire, and the Prince, without remonstrance, turned away. An official who camo up at tho moment, however, recognised His Royal Highness and hurried after him with many excuses. The Prince answered that no excuses were necessary. “Do not worry,” he said. “I am quite content to be treated like everyone else.” The Prince of Wales is generally dressed in flannel trousers and a white shirt. He spends a good deal of time playing golf and swimming. At the evening aperitif hour the Princes generally mingled apparently unnoticed with the clientele of one of the fashionable cafes.
