AT HOME; GIFT AFTERNOON Tim newly-formed Silver Lining Club intends to hold a gift afternoon at .1-1-1 Victoria Avenue, next Wednesday at 2 o’clock. This body has taken unto itself the commendable work of sewing to pros ide against the certain de inand there will be for clothes after the present summer season. Gifts of (doth material, cotton, but,tons, elastic, etc., or monetary donations would be thankfully received. Wednesday’s gift afternoon is being promoted in this worthy cause and any who can make \ donations arc asked to leave them at 111 the Avenue. j The Silver Lining Club has no poli tical leanings and is not identilieil with any religious body. It has been formed with the sole object of alleviating distress and its particular function at present is to sew.
