PLUNKET SOCIETY

BABY CARNIVAL Judging by the enthusiasm being displayed by the committee and sup- 1 porters of the Wanganui Pluuket So- I ciety success appears certain to attend c the Plunket Baby Carnival, which is 1 being held during the month ofNovem- c bcr. 1 The object of the carnival is to raise J funds to meet the extra expenses neces- ' sary to increase the accommodation re- 1 quired at the Stewart Karitane Home I and for the maintenance of Plunket and Karitane work. Many willing c helpers have come forward and all arrangements are now completed. The carnival commences next Tuesday, November 1, and ends on the 30th. In connection with the carnival there will be a stall hold each Wednesday in the Plunket room, when fancy goods, produce, etc., will be on sale from 10 j a.m. The Plunket nurses have been c working hard to supply goods for the }l stall and as there is great need for j money lor the Plunket work, doubtless c there will be many mothers willing to help the cause by sending saleable c articles or purchasing from the stall, t The carnival will be run on the same 5 lines as previous carnivals.
