ADDRESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE AMENDMENTS MOVED OTTAWA, Oct. 13. The Progrcsivcs to-day moved a subamendment to the Address-in-Reply stressing financial reform. Tentative arrangements to-day arc for a vote on the amendments and the Address on Monday afternoon. The Imperial Conference agreements will be taken up immediately following the division. TEXT OF SUB-AMENDMENT CONTROL OF CURRENCY OTTAWA, Oct. 13. The sub-amendment to the Ad-dress-in-Reply urges that, the Dominion control of currency and credit be so exercised as to provide and maintain sufficient purchasing power to raise the
price of agricultural products and other primary commodities to an equitable level in relation to the cost of production and the settlement of outstanding liabilities, public and private, and increasing consumption, thereby stimulating industry and providing employment, and that the issue of this currency and credit should be based upon the natural wealth and productive capacity of the country, not as at present upon one single commodity, gold-
