I WANGANUI ASSOCIATION OPENING OF NEW SEASON. I COMPETITIONS START TO-DAY. The 'Wanganui Cricket Association’s competitions for the 1932-33 season will be commenced this afternoon, when two first grade matches will be commenced on Cook’s Gardens, while second grade matches will be played on Peat Park. Six teams are taking part in the first grade competition, but owing to Collegiate School being engaged on their annual athletic sports they have defaulted for the first match, .Technical College getting the bye. Following are some of the teams which will be taking part in to-day’s matches:— Wanganui v. Tech. Old Boys, on Cook’s Gardens, at 1.45 p.m.—Williams, Wild, Bullock-Douglas, Thomas, Spurdle, Grant. Evans, Thrush (2), Kilpatrick, Lowe. Marist v. United, on Cook’s Gardens No. 1. —T. Moran, R. Carr, R. Watt, R. Bingham, L. Koorey, E. List, G. Herd, iC. Tuffin, J. Oliver, C. Frater, Ellis, ' Curtayne. Technical College Old Boys v. Wanganui. on Cook’s Gardens No. 2 —J. Connor, A. G. Davidson, W. B. Gil mour, A. Heibner, A. Hoy, C. Smith, F. E. Smith. S. G. Stewart, R. Thomas, J. S. P. Tizard, F. Weir. Technical College Old Boys’ second XL v. United, on Peat Park.—P. Blakeley. B. Burgess, C. Dashfield, W. Dickie. R. Gal ver, W. Hambley, H. Humphrey, A. Kidd, L.
