HOLIDAY CRUISES
NEW BRITISH RECORDS [ British Official Wireless.] Received Aug. 1, 9.5 p.m, RUGBY, Aug. 1. Southampton is a scene of record activity this week-end. Twenty-two vessels totalling 600,000 tons, includ ing the Empress of Britain, the Aquatania, Berengaria, Olympic, Homeric and other of the world’s largest liners, are sailing on holiday cruises to the Mediterranean and other ports am' cruises round the British Isles. The cruise bookings are four times as great as last year and evidences the growing movement to spend the holi days cruising in British vessels. Imperial Airways announce that all their previous records for air transport will be broken this week.
