Guests registered at Foster’s Hotel include the following: Miss M. Coughlin (Stratford); Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Downes, Air. D. Bohan and Mr. J. O’Kane (Wellington); Mr. C. R. Carbould and Mr. E. F. C. Kcmpthorne (London). Miss G. Gamman was a guest of the Wanganui Rotary Club at its weekly luncheon yesterday and gave two musical monologues entitled “The Gentleman of France” and “Frightened to Death.” Mrs. Seoul la r sang two songs. Mrs. Stewart Cunningham, F.T.C.L., was the accoinpanistc. Eulogistic reference to the many sporting attributes of Mr. H. Cooper was made at a meeting of the commit tec of the Wanganui Harrier Club last evening. Mr. C. R. White, president, said that Air. Cooper had always assisted the dub in any of its activities carried out on Spriggens Park. Mr. Cooper was wished every success in his new sphere of life and an appreciation of his services for the club was placed on record. His character as a sportsman was also praised. Among the guests at the Rutland Hotel are: Mr. J. Harris and Mr. 8. Pivac (Auckland); Air. C. W. McAllum (New Plymouth); Mr. L. Luoni (Eke tahuna); Mr. H. Desborough, Mr. N. C. Armitage, Mr. J. Mackley (Masterton); Captain R. D. Hardie and Mr. Arthur C. Foddy (Palmerston North).
