UNEMPLOYED. Local unemployment has decreased during the past week, there being now 20 less unemployed. Although last week was stand-down week, there were few who called at the shop opened for the unemployed. It was accordingly decided at the meeting of the Relief Committee last Friday that the shop should be open only twice and that during stand-down week only. What produce, colthing and vegetables had been sent in had been very quickly allocated among those who had called at the shop. P. AND D.P.S.A.A.A. The annual seven-a-side football and basketball tournaments will bo held at (he, Patca Domain to-morrow. There is a record number of entries from the schools in the district extending from (he Tongahoe to the Waitotara Rivers. Mokoia, Opaku, Hurleyville and Koh’i are practically the only gchaals who have not entered, while Whakamara School’s entry is the first to be received from there since the association was inaugurated.
