ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY L Ter Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 1. Three awards for bravery wore made at a meeting of the court of directors of tho Royal Humane Society to-day. William Harold Nairn, Hawke’s Bay, was awarded a certificate for rescuing two girls from drowning at Porangahau. Lett.hs of recommendation are to bo sent io Oscar Ramstead, waterside worker, Wellington, who on April 20 rescued a num from drowning after he had fallen overboard from the steamer Komata, and Arthur Hinchco, butcher. Onehunga. who rescued from drowning a child who had fallen into a clay pit filled with water. Hinchco dived repeatedly until he located the child -nick in heavy mud at the bottom of the pit. *
