Bonnie Muir (Australia) defeated George (“Wildcat”) Wilson at the Town Hall to-night, winning the decisive fall in the fourth round. Both wrestlers were in a state of collapse following a series of heavy throws and dumpings in which Muir had the advantage. The match ended when Muir evaded a second flying tackle and Wilson fell heavily. Muir, although exhausted through being out of training, secured a headlock and pressed Wilson down for the final fall. LIVELY AUCKLAND BOLT WALKER AND DEMETRAL UNSATISFACTORY ENDING [ Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Aug. 1. i The professional wrestling contest between George Walker and Harry Demetral ended in the sixth round in favour of Walker. Up till then each man had secured a fall, Walker being successful in the third with a jackknife hold, while Demetral evened ir tho fifth with a Boston crab submission fall. Matters then became fairly lively, each man being thrown through the ropes. Demetral hurled Walker through four times, causing the inspector of police to have a word with the referee. While this consultation was going on Demetral caught hold of Walker’s head and brought him over the ropes back into the ring with a flying mare. Walker regained his foot and threw Demetral, gaining the de ciding- fall with a body press. Demetral at once jumped to his feel ges ticulating wildly and commenced to argue with the referee. It was some seconds before he could be pacified, the spectators hooting. Demetral stated in tho dressing oom subsequently that he was under tlie impression that, the referee had awarded him a fall when he hauled Walker back info the ring, and consequently offered no resistance to Walker. The referee denied tapping Demetral on the back. At all events it. wri- ;iti unsatisfactory ending.
