WAR LOAN CONVERSION
FINAL RUSH COMMENCED. RISE IN VALUES OF STOCKS. Received July 28, 1.20 p.m. LONDON, July 27. The final rush to secure the bonus war loan has commenced, the biggest conversion of tho day being 734,000 of holdings by the Scottish and Australia Investment Company. It is believed that large numbers arc postponing their applications till tbe last, moment. The stimulating effect of tbe conversion on all securities is shown in a bankers’ magazine, which states that 365 leading stocks have appreciated in capital value to tbe extent of £273,000,000 during the month ending July 30.
