SOUTHERN CROSS
NEW MISSION VESSEL. LONDON, July 26. The Southern Cross VI., equipped as a school and hospital, sails on Friday for Auckland, where ie new Bishop of Melanesia, W. Baddeley, embarks. Surrounded by nine bishops and 100 clergy, on the deck of the vessel at Greenwich pier, the Primate dedicated the ship. Speaking bareheaded in a torrent of rain, which quickly drenched his robes, Primate Lang described the beautiful white-painted ship as the most romantic and heroic means of extending the Kingdom of God.
