Mr G. Darbyshire was appointed to I the position of secretary of the PateaWaitotara Babbit Board for the remainder of the financial year, at a meeting held yesterday. Last night’s meeting of the Wanganui Technical College Board of Governors passed a motion of sympathy with the chairman, Mr W. Brueo, in the recent death of his brother, Mr J. Bruce. The following are guests at Foster’s Hotel: Messrs M. Myers (Dunedin); W. Watt, B. W. Gibson, Mr and Mrs Stronach Paterson and Mrs Webster (Wellington); Messrs F. Wallace and L. Wallace (Waipukurau); L. M. Taylor (New Plymouth). Guests registered at the Rutland Hotel yesterday included: Messrs B. L. Dollard, R. Cargill, A. M. Gordon, C. A. Plinnner, E. J. Parr, M.A., A. G. Hutchinson. Miss .1. S. Hetherington, Messrs J. Gale, D. Brooker, and W. G. Pryor (Wellington); E. R. Maekley (Masterton); Mr and Mrs Al. B. Stone (Kimbolton); Messrs J. T. Davies and R. Stewart (Palmerston North).
