FILM COMPANY STOPS SALARY, REFUSAL TO ACT, HOLLYWOOD, April 27. Tho Paramount Film Corporation announces that it has suspended the contract of Josef von Sternberg, the film director, and will n,»t pay Marlene Dietrich’s salary any longer. Mr. von Sternberg left for New York early to-day following a quarrel as to the'scenario to be used for his new film, “The Blonde Venus.” Miss Dietrich thereupon refused to act under another director.
