Royal Hunting. Royal Hunting ran six furlongs on the plough at Hastings the other morn- 1 ing in 1.19, being on the bit all the way. Ho is to contest the Herotaunga Handicap, six furlongs and a-half, at Hastings to-day, which is the furthest ho has yet been tried over. Ho has proved himself a good sprinter up to six furlongs, winning over that dis tance at Hawke’s Bay ami Manawa tn. w'hile ho was successful over five furlongs at Wanganui. These were his last, three efforts, and if he can see out the extra distance to-day ho should take a lot of beating.
