On Trial
ANTI-FASCIST TERRORIST POLICE TORTURES ALLEGED Received June 15, 10.55 p.m. ROME. June 14. Repeatedly clutching at his heart and looking very ill. Luci Dclfini, antiFascist terrorist, was placed on trial before a special tribunal. In his defence ho declared that, his statements made before the trial were untrue and were extorted by force. He had been severely illtreated at the police headquarters. He had been flogged and pins had been driven under his fingernails. His heart had been permanently weakened thereby. Ho refused the services of a doctor. The president .of the Court replied that the charges would be investigated.
