SHOTGUN DISCHARGED I Per Pres* Aworiation. | MASTERTON, June 14. The sequel to the shooting affray near the Waiohine River Bridge, south of Carterton, about 5.3 d p.m. on Saturday. was heard jn the Carterton Magistrate’s Court to-day when Jack Richards was charged with discharging a firearm at Reuben Kopu with intent to do bodily harm. The accused was remanded to appear on Tuesday. Bail was allowed. It was stated that Kopu. who lives across the road from (Hehards, heard an altercation in the latter’s house and went across to investigate. When approavhing. however, it is alleged that Richards discharged shotgun at him, t portion of the shot entering Kopu’s vrist. He was admitted to the Masteron Hospital. The injury was not erious.
