HARRIERS
WANGANUI CLUB BRAMWELL COURSE RACE. TWO JOHNSTONS REN WELL. Fifty* members of the Wanganui Harrier Club were started on a sealed handicap race from the Wanganui Racecourse by Mrs. A. C. Bourgeois on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were, ideal for harrier running, the ground being dry underfoot. A keen wind swept the countryside and although it may have hampered the runners on the outward journey it was with them on the homo run over the Bramwell course. Times were good and some fine performances were established. The two Johnstons led the field over the last half of the run, striding along with perfect rhythm. Hoskyns gave a splendid exhibition and ran his best
’ race for some time to take third place. IJ. Northover ran homo fourth after a j good performance, and was followed I closely by Bourgeois and H. Newton.
