PERSONAL ' At the Croquet and Tennis Club ball on Friday night, opportunity was taken by members of the Tennis and Cricket club’; to farewell Mr G. F. Shanley, who was leaving for To Awamutu on tho following day. Mr A. V. Sutton, president of the Tennis Club, spoko culogistically of Mr Shanley’s worth as a member of tho Tennis and Cricket Clubs, and on behalf of members presented him with a suit case, at tho same time wishing him every hapiness and success in the future. Mr Shanley suitably replied, and expressed regret at leaving his many friends at Huntervillo. Mr T. V. Elliott, of Woodville, has succeeded Mr Shanley on the local staff of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr and Mrs J. A. Adams have left for Wellington, where they will stay for two mouths, during which pe iod Mr Adams is specialising in dentures in a Wellington practice.
