NEW ZEALAND" INSURANCE STATISTICS The official statistics for the year 1930 relating tu life insurance business in Nev Zealand reveal several points which will be of interest to our policyholders. Altogether there are twelve lify offices operating in the Dominion and their total assets at '■ Ist December, .1930, amounted to £33,794,421. Of that total no less than £15,285,205 was held by the “A.M.P.,” while the other eleven offices shared the balance of £18,509,216 amongst them. This is eloquent testimony as to the extent to which our Society has assisted in the development of New Zealand. The total Ordinary Department business in force in the Dominion at 31st December, 1930, was £98,135.695, and of this total the “A.M.P.” held no less than £40,701,375, or well over one-third, the remaining twothirds, or rather less, being distributed among the other eleven offices.
