Mr John Allan—Agriculture. Mr A. Dunstan—Lands and Forests. Mr J. Pennington—Education., Mr I. Jones—Works and Minos. Mr G. Goudie.—Watter Supply and 1 .abour. The election figures are not yet complete, but the Attorney-General, Mr Slater, has definitely been defeated.

Financial newspapers stress the buoyancy of Australian stocks, attributed to Air Lang’s downfall, and the result of the Victorian elections. Tho Tinies says: “It is expected that Premier Moore will now retain control of Queensland, in which event all the Governments of Australia will be united in support of the policy embodied in the Premiers’ Plan, which is being pursued vigorously by the Com monwcalth Government.*
