AIRMAN KILLED
WRECKED ’PLANE BURNT LONDON. April 14. Pilot Officer Adrian John Warfordmein, aged 22, an Australian attached instructionally to the Digby Training School, crashed in a single-seater Avro, which burst into flames at East Winch, West Norfolk, and was killed outright. He was burned beyond recognition. An eye-witness saw the machine flying low and circle twice as though seeking a landing place. It then suddenly nose-dived.
