ROMNEY RAM FAIR
OFFERINGS AT MASTERTON MARTON GETS TOP PRICE [ Per Presß Association. 1 MASTERTON, Feb. 18. Buyers from many parts of the North Island attended the Masterton Ram Fair to-day when flock and stud Romneys were offered. There was keen competition for quality animals, the prices realised for these being a little in advance of last year’s. The inferior and lighter sort, of which there was fairly large entry, were not sought after, and passings were numerous. Top prices for studs were: 60gns., secured by Mr. A. L. Wheeler, of Marton, with Mr. A. E. Anderson, Tara tahi, next-with 57gns. Flock Romneys ranged up to 13gns.
