FAIRBANKS AND KYNE

TRIPS TO THE SOUTH MAY VISIT AUSTRALIA. Received Fob. 18, 11 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 17. There is a possibility that Douglas Fairbanks and Peter B. Kyne, the wellknown author,, may, in the near future, visit Australia. The Australian Travel Association representative, Mr O ’Connor, of San Francisco, states that Fairbanks, who sailed by the Makura to-day for Tahiti, from whence he will proceed in a yacht, to make a travelogue of the South Seas, Fiji, New Guinea, etc., told him that if time permits he will include Australia. He must return to Los Angeles in time for the Olympic Games. Peter B. Kyne, who has been asked to join the so-called Young America Group which is scheduled to leave by the Monterey, on June 3, has also received a cablegram from Mr J. A. Lyons, urging him to come. The writer stated he would go if he possibly could and upon his return, de his bit to give that interesting country, the sort of forceful and kindly publicity it so eminently merited. H c expressed doubt as to his ability to leave by June 3, but added that he wou’d move heaven and earth to get there ii. time for the Melbourne Cup.
