SOCIAL AND DANCE
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE EASTOWN BAILWAY DIVISION* There was an attendance of about 60 present at the annual social and dance ?f the Eastown Railway Division of St. John Ambulance held last evening in the Lyric Hall. A pleasant evening was spent with old-time dancing, interspersed with musical and elocutionary items. Songs were given by Mrs G. Mills, Messers J. McDougal, J. Moore, Master H. McKinnon, and elocutionary items by Miss Edna Watts. Mr G. A. McDonald made a capable M.C. and Mr Peter Bennett provided the dance music. The Rush Memorial Shield (newly made in memory of a late member) was presented to Mr McDonald, who won the championship competition. The shield was presented by Mrs Rush. Mr McDonald also won the trophy donated by the superintendent, Mr Wakely, md this prize was presented by Mrs Wakely. The members wish to thank the Scottish Society for the use of the hall, and the ladies, who so ably assisted with the arrangements. After supper

Ritchie, Atlantic blue satin; Misses Vine, black taffeta; McKenna, floral georgette; Freeman, blue georgette; Stevens, blue lace; Barnes, green georgette; M. Paul, black taffeta; Ansley, scarlet lace; R. Smith, green silk; D. Ambler, pink crepe de chine; E. Rush, white taffeta: Wilkinson, black satin; Western, pink satin; Peterson, lemon georgette; E. Watts, black and silver lace; R Green cream silk, V. Phillips, rose pink georgette; N. Hanson, scarlet satin; F. Ellis, sky blue satin; N. Wakely, green satin; Facer, carnation pink organdie; V.
