MARTON SALE Associated Auctioneers report oil their Marton sale held on Tuesday as follows: —We yarded a medium entry of sheep, cattle and pigs. Two-tooth ewes, small, 7s 8d; 2-tooth wethers, small, 7s 3d; 4-tooth wethers, shorn, passed at 9s Bd. Ewes with white face iambs at foot, all counted 9s 6d. Fat sheep and fat lambs improved slightly in value, but fatcattle and store sheep were easier. Store Sheep.—The entry was much smaller and consisted chiefly of ewes and lambs. Ewes and lambs were slightly easier but wethers were down one shilling a head. Medium ewes and lambs 7s 9d and 9s 6d, ordinary 6s and 7s 6d, backward 4s 7d, ordinary wether hoggets 7s and 7s 9d, medium 4 and 6tooth wethers 9s to 10s 4d, ordinary 7s and 8s 4d. Fat Lambs. —1150 were yarded. Show lambs made 24s 4d, prime 18g fid to 21s 6d, medium 16s Id to 18s 3d, light 11s 9d to Ifis.

Fat Sheep.—An entry of 3300 compared with 5100 last week. There was an average advance of up to Is 6d a head. The works open on December 1 but there were no operating export buyers. Extra prime heavy wethers to 20s lOd, prime wethers 17s 6d to 20s. medium 14s 6d to 17s, light Ils to 14s, extra prime heavy ewes to 18s Cd. prime ewes 14s to 17s, ordinary 10s to 13s fid, light 6s o 9b 6d. Fat Cattle. —A smaller entry of 375 head, practically all Canterbury fat tened. A very dragging sale. Prices were the lowest for years. Best beef made to 25s per lOOlbs; ordinary to good 19s to 235. The quality of the entry was good. There was a firming tendency hi most classes at tho Westfield fat stock sale to-day and yarding were lighter for some weeks, the re-cent ruins having improved the feed available. Beef values generally increased Is per lOOlbs. and sheep were up Is a head. The demand for lambs was keen and a considerable increase in price was registered. The pig market was dull and baconers fell slightly, others maintaining late levels.
