Following upon the piracy of the British steamer Hanyang last week the British destroyer Sterling embarked Chinese troops from Swatow and proceeded to search the coast, landin" a strong party at Namoa Island, rounding up the pirates and recovering most of the cargo looted, also making 30 arrests. She is returning to Swatow and handing over the prisoners to the Chinese authorities.
