WEATHER FORECAST
General Situation.—The last of tho present series of intense westerly depressions crossed the Dominion yesterday. Forecast. —Winds: Strong westerly winds to gales backing to southwesterly. Seas (N.Z. waters): Heavy on the west coast and in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong south-west winds to gales with rough to heavy seas. Weather: Cold, squally and changeable, with showers in most districts, heavy in places, and hail on parts of the coast.
