Mr. harry Guthrie, who is District Governor of Rotary, will be visiting the Wanganui Club on November 19, when a luncheon will be held in his honour.

Stewart, member of of the House of Representatives for Wirnmera, Victoria, lie was a prominent member of the Country Party and former Federal Alin. istcr of Works and Railways in the Brucc-Pagc Government.

Air H. A. Palmer, barrister of the Inner Temple, arrived from England by the Tamaroa on Tuesday. Al r. Palmer, who represents Atessrs. Butterworth and Co., is editor in control of the consolidation of reprint of the New Zealand Statutes, and will act in consultation with the New Zealand Editorial Board, consisting of the Chief Justice, Attorney-General and Parliamentary draughtsmen.

“That the Board of Alanagers of the Feilding Agricultural High School places on record its deep sense of loss at tho death of our late chairman and its appreciation of his work for agricultural education, and recognises that the establishment and development of this school was due to his vision and untiring effort and tho board, by this resolution, claims the late Air Tolley founder of the school.” The foregoing resolution was carried at Wednesday’s meeting of the Board of Alanagers of the Feilding Agricultural High School. In his report to the board, the Principal, Air L. J. Wild, referred to the passing of Air Tolley, as follows: —“The first sentence of this report should rightly express the school’s deep regret at the passing of our respected chairman, Air Tolley, to whom wc all owo so much. Though tho school was in recess a beautiful wreath kindly made by Airs Barltrop was sent on behalf of the pupils, who will take other means, in due season, to mark their grateful appreciation of Air Tolley’s work and to cherish his memory.”
