SHETLAND SHAWLS
There is a great demand among society mothers in London for the exquisitely fine cobweb lace Shetland shawls made by the Shetland women from, the wool that grows under the jaws of the Shetland sheep. Only the jaw wool can bo used as this is the finest, and thus each shawl is the product of 25 to 300 sheep. Lady Alaud Carnegie is one of the Royal mothers who uses Shetland shawls for her son, the Master of Carnegie, and Princess Margaret Rose was snugly wrapped in one when she went up by the night train from London to Glamis recently.
