CROSSBREDS HARDENING Received October 12, 10.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 12. At the wool sales 11,860 bales were offered and 11,019 bales were sold. Also 1337 were disposed of privately. Prices were very firm at the closing rates of last week and competition was well sustained by Bradford, Japan and France. Crossbreds showed a hardening tendency. Greasy Merino made 14jd. The average price for wool last week was £lO 11s lOd per bale, or 7.9 pence per pound. The Australian average for the first three months of the present season was £9 14s 2d per bale, or 7.4 pence per pound.
