STAR FILM BEREAVED
TRAGIC DEATH OF WIFE. From Hollywood comes the news of the death of Mrs Jameson Thomas, wife of a well-known British film star. Mrs Thomas was a beautiful blonde, who married Mr Thomas when he was an unknown British screen actor. She was Mrs Evelyn Dudson, and critics prophesied for her a great career as a film actress, but she preferred publicity work. In her business she met Mr Thomas. Eventually she devoted herself entirely to acting as publicity agent for her husband. Mr Thomas became one of the bestknown British film stars. In the summer of last year he was drawing a salary of more than £l5O a week. Diuring the whole of this time Mrs Thomas was suffering from tuberculosis, and it was in the hope that the suns of California would restore her to health that her husband signed a contract to go to Hollywood.
