BULLS
RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB. Fifty-four players took parts in Mixed Foursomes on Saturday afternoon, the winners being Mrs Hendry and S. Rich, with Miss Bailey and Al. Gould runners-up. The president, Mr K. W. Dalrymple, referred to the generosity of Mr and Mrs Tricker in granting the use of their links for play in the past season, and for extending the season another fortnight. On the president's invitation Miss Bailqy, the ladies’ captain, assisted by Mr Petrie (club captain) presented the trophies won by the men during the past season, as follows: Championship.—Hart Challenge Cup and miniature: Mr F. Fenwick; runnerup: Mr H. Hendry (Mr Geo. Ellis’ trophy). 1931 Handicap.—Mr G. O. Wilson (trophy presented by Messrs B. O. Dalrymple and T. B. Willis); runner-up: Mr W. Dean (Mr O. H. Grut’s trophy). Cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Tricker, and for the prize-winners. COUNTRY CLUB CRICKET. During the week-end members of Bulls and Bangitikei Factory Cricket Clubs practised on the Domain, fair form, being shown. The Factory side promises to be stronger this season, but Bulls Club has lost several leading players, and may be weaker. Greatford sent a team to Marton Junction during the week-end, and played a friendly match there, being defeated by 13 runs on the first innings. Greatford batted first and made 73 (S. {Sharp 31), to which Junction replied with 86 (McNamara 34, Bending 28). Greatford went iu again, and at call of time had lost six wickets for 61 runs. Junction has a good bowler in McLeod, but the side does not appear to be any better than other country teams in Lower Bangitikei. Scores in the Greatford v. Junction match were as follows: Greatford.
