USE PLENTY OF COLOUR
Writing to a friend in Auckland, a New Zealander who is travelling in the East comments upon the love of colour shown by Oriental people. Many are great believers in the effect of colour upon the human system, and black is anathema to them. If a dark colour is to be worn they believe in taking the dark shades of light colours such as mauve (the light shade of purple), all the shades of rose and pink (the lighter shades of red), and so on. These, they say, encourage a brighter outlook on life.
