MISSING GOVERNOR
EXPRESS TRAIN WAITS INCIDENT AT TAIHAPE I (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, Sept. 28. Excellency, the Governor-Gen erai, Lord Bledisloe, accompanied by Lady Blcdisloe, passed through Taihape *n Saturday evening on the northbound express en route to Te Kuiti. The express usually waits at Taihape for tea minutes, but*His Excellency, so it is reported, was incorrectly informed that the train always stopped for 20 minutes, and upon receiving this information he decided to visit the bust hess area of the town. Accordingly, he left the railway station with this object in view. The time for the departure of the train arrived, but the Governor-General ' Ud not returned to his carriage, and : •* the train was delayed while railway officers searched the* town for Lord 1 T!l*Hlisloc. ■▼•atually His Excellency was ] located and lost no time in reaching < the railway station when informed that 1 tfr? train bad been waiting for him for i the past JO minutes.
