UNION BOAT CLUB LIGHT BLUES’ MEETING. ENTHUSIASM IN EVIDENCE Proceedings wcro of an enthusiastic nature when the annual meeting of members of the Union Boat Club was held, the president, Mr J. R. Foster, being in the chair. Over forty members were present. The report and balance-sheet, which wcro adopted, showed that the past season had been very successful and the finances of the club were in a very
sound condition. The following officers wore elected: President, Mr W. R. Sharpe; vice-presi-dents, Messrs D. Corby, C. W. Poynter, A. Healey, E. Ryland, H. R. Sharpe, D. Dustin, W. H. Swanger, R. Hughes, D. Martin, J. Ruscoe; trustees, Messrs C. W. Poynter, W. H. Swanger, B. Hughes, A. Healey; captain, C. A. Healey; deputy captain, A. Weir; hen. secretary, A. Osborne; hou. treasurer, E. G. Bridges; hon. auditor, Mr F. Smith; committee, Mcsrs W. Kruse E. R. Prince, E. Gullery, J. Cotterill,’ E. Trail, E. Crotty, and R. Mowat. The retiring president, Mr J. R. Fotter, was unanimously elected a life member of the club in recognition of his long and faithful service to the club.
