GERMANY CALLS FOR DESIGNS LONDON, Aug. 21. The Times’ Berlin correspondent states that the National War Memorial Committee has opened a competition for all “artistically active German citizens” for the most suitable design of memorial which '*• is proposed to erect in a beautiful piece of secluded woodland near Weimar. The design must be kept within the simplicity demanded by the needs of the times and the dignity of the subject.
