Miss Hall Jones is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. M. Hussey, St. John’s Hill, are visiting Wellington. Mrs H. Strauchon, Cambridge Street, is visiting relations in New Plymouth. Mrs G. Siddells is visiting Hastings, where she is the guest of the Bev. D. J. and Mrs Shaw. Mr and Mrs J. D. Ormond, of Wallingford, are visiting Wanganui and are guests at the Rutland Hotel. Miss E. Blundell, of New Plymouth, is a visitor to Wanganui for the College Rugby tournament. Mr and Mrs E. Paliiser, of Wellinglington, are visitors to Wanganui and are staying at the Rutland Hotel. Dr and Mrs Raymond, of Waipukurau, are guests at the Rutland Hotel. Miss Jean Newton, Ashburton, is the guest of Mr and Mrs W. A. Izard, College Street. Miss Mary Latham, Hawke’s Bay, is staying with her mother, Mrs D. Latham, Grey Street. Mrs J. Blennerhassett, of Westmere, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mr and Mrs E. J. Earle, of Nelson, are visiting Wanganui. Miss Moya Hempton, of Hobson Cresent, is a visitor to Wanganui. Miss Cressida Jackson, of Victoria Avenue, is visiting Longburn. Miss Enid Lawson and Miss Alary Wiggins, of Wellington, motored to Wanganui for the week-end. ; Mrs W. Jamieson, who has been staying at Wanganui, paid a short visit to the Misses Bailey, Aorangi, Feilding, on her return journey to Hawke’s Bay. Mr and Mrs Goddard and son, of Auckland, are visiting Wanganui, and are staying at the Rutland Hotel. Mrs B. C. Bennett, Hawera, is visiting Wanganui.
Mr and Mrs Sclanders are Wellington visitors to Wanganui for the Rugby tournament at the Collegiate School, and are guests at Wharenui.
Mr and Mrs Alex Moore, are Johnsonville visitors to and are guests at the Rutland Hotel.
Airs Gonville Saunders is spending a holiday in Wanganui as the guest of Mrs Russell Grace, “ Arles.”
Mr and Mrs A. B. Gibbons, of Khandallah, are the guests of Mrs Hope Gibbons, Sedgebrook, for the inter-Col-legiate football nfatches.
Miss Ismay Digges-Smith, of Wellington, motored to Wanganui on Saturday, to spend the week-end.
Miss Hobbs, of Hastings, and Alias M. Poole, Foxton, are staying at the Rutland Hotel.
Air and Mrs Norman B. Gibbons, Dr and Mrs Hutchinson, Mr and Airs W. B. Rainey, Mr and Mrs D. G. AlcCaul, Misses K. and M. McCaul, Mrs Day, Miss Afolly Day, Mr and Airs John Fraser, Airs A. H. Miles, Mrs H. Nelson, Mr and Airs Mitchell, Mr and Mrs W. 11. Stevens, Airs Beard, are Wellington visitors to W’anganui and are guests at the Rutland Hotel.
Mr and Mrs D. McFarlane, Gonville, were host and hostess at a delightful bridge party on Saturday evening, given for the Gonville and Castlecliff Plunket babies. There were several tables in play and the successful players where Mrs Tucker and Mr C. G. Bignell. A competition held was won by Mrs J. Russell. Among those present were: Air and Mrs Allan MeFarlane (Marton), Air and Mrs Alerewether, Mr and Mrs Roland Young, Mr and Mrs C. G. Bignell, Mr and Mrs E. Cole, Mr and Mrs E. B. Tustin, Dr. and Airs G. H. Robertson, Mr and Mrs C. Tucker, Mr and Mrs R. Brown, Mr and Mrs C. W. Horne, Mr and Mrs J. H. Henson, Air and Mrs M. Bignell, Mr and Afrs F. Woollams, Mr and Mrs J. Russell, Miss McKirdy, and Mr Rabone.
Castlecliff 500 Evening. An enjoyable 500 evening was held by Mrs Beavan in the Westbourne Hall, Castlecliff, in aid of the campaign for Bobby Manley in the Y.M.C.A. popular boy contest. There were over 50 present. Winners were: Ladies, first prize, Mrs Paxton; booby prize, Afrs Wilson; gentlemen, first prize, Mr Keeling; booby prize, Mr Ciaig.
