THE LUCKY WINNERS. Received Aug. 20. 11.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 20. The first prize of £5OOO in the first New South Wales lottery, drawn today, went to a woman living at Manly with ticket No. 40,977. The second went to East Sydney, the third to Epping suburb, and a fourth to Liverpool, an outer suburb.

A tremendous crowd gathered to witness the drawing at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
