WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
The inaugural meeting of the Makirikiri Women’s Institute was held on Thursday afternoon in the Upok. .igaro Hall. There was an attendance of sixteen,. Mrs West presiding. After explaining the aims and objects of the W omen’s Institute the committee was formed. Later, Mrs West displayed various useful articles made by members of the Women’s Institute. At the conclusion of the display afternoon tea was dispensed by Mrs Howard. A vote of thanks was accorded Mrs West for her very interesting address and display.
