WOOL FREIGHTS

NO REDUCTION POSSIBLE [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. There is no possibility at present of the Government granting any relief for wool growers in the direction of a re duction in shipping freights on exported wool. The Minister of Agriculture, Hon. A J. Murdoch, in advising the union to this effect, states that the question of wool freights was recently the subject of discussion wfith representatives of the overseas shipping companies, who made it clear tha‘ no reduction could be granted at present.
