LAWN TENNIS

ST. JOHN’S CLUB WINTER ACTIVITIES Bright sunshine over the week-end brought out a good attendance of members of the St. John’s Lawn Tennig • Club, most of the leading players being present. One silver buttons match was played, • Cox and Ogier defeating Lampe and Udy 9—3. Good progress continues to be made by the club's junior and intermediate players. The six grass courts are looking well and should be in good order for the coming season. The annual meeting will soon be held and the new summer season for the asphalt courts will then bo fixed. It is usually the first or second week in September.
