N.Z. LADIES’ TOURNEY POVERTY BAY ENTRY 1 Per Press Association. | WELLINGTON, July 31. Poverty Bay is a late entry for the, New Zealand ladies' hockey tournament, making the total number of entries twelve. WINTER SHIELD MATCH WANGANUI v. TARANAKI TO-DAY’S BIG FIXTURE ■ At Gonville Park to-day, the Taranaki and Wanganui senior and junior teams will play their annual match for the Winter Shield. Aluch interest is being taken in this fixture and it is hoped that the Wanganui senior team will be able to wipe off the defeat inflicted upon them last year when they went down by one goal. The junior match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the senior game.
