WEATHER FORECAST

General situation.—The northern cyclone has passed eastwards and a slight secondary one has boon crossing the Dominion to day. An in tense anti-cyclone is now advancing across the lasinau Sea. Forecast.—Winds: Variable at first but, moderate to strong southerlies soon prevailing, and reaching gale iorcc at places. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough generally; the eastern Tasman Sea strong but decreasing southerly winds with rough seas. Weather: Cold and unsettled, with some showers in most districts, heavy on parts of the East Coast. Snow on the ranges of the South Island; improving shortly un the West Coast of the South Island.
