"BONZO" AND CO. ITES GO FOR TRAMP
Dear Wendy, Here are a few lines to tell n you I’ve not forgotten you. How are you tl popping along? Now, I’m jroing to tell you about a lovely tramx> 1 had the other day. 9 Well, I was not by myself but with three P of your other Ites named “Tahuna,” “The ,J Aching Corn” and "The Hut’s Bride." So H you see it was quite a little party. First s ' of all we went through our neighbour’s farm ri to sec the waterfall down in the gorge. After I a good deal of climbing down banks and c ' scuttling through fern and bush we reached ( it. It was a lovely sight, and because of ’j tho roar of the fall we could hardly hear ourselves speak. A few minutes later we d retraced our steps till we reached the open ; then took a new path that le<l us to an easy 9 place to cross a. creek. When we reached I the other aide, the bush was not so thick, and we could pick our way along more easily. H Soon we wore light out. of the bush and w were climbing a big hill which wrs quite flat on the top, and we wen> also right close to the road, so we all climbed through the ,r fence and stepped on to it. We went, for a a< long walk then along the roads and later returned home very hungry. Well, now I’ve told you about the tramp we had, my pen w eems to be quite empty. I’ll just step ort ,T 1 the gas now, and hop off to bed. Toodleloo. Lots of kind wishes.— From "BONZO,” Waverley. 1 am keeping quite well, thank you, dear. What a lov< l.\ tramp you and your fellow w tto' wcm.. Waterfalls are indeed beautiful. How quiet, the bush alway« seems to be. dl Have you ever noticed ?—Wendy. I®
