UNEMPLOYED TEACHERS

WANGANUI EDUCATION DISTRICT At the request of the Department the Wanganui Education Board has prepared a return of unemployed teachers in the board’s district. This was tabled at yesterday’s meeting as follows: One year out of Training College: 30 (10 males and 20 females), 6 of this number (5 males a- d 1 female), having relieving work at present; one is now residing in the Auckland district, and one is uncertificated. Two years out of Training College: 9 (2 males and 7 females). Five of this number (2 males and 3 females), have relieving work at present. Three years out of Training College: 2 (1 male and 1 female). The male teacher has relieving work at present. Others: 1 female who did not attend Training College. One female who resigned her appointment and proceeded to England. She has recently returned.
