At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Friesian Association officers were elected as follow:—Presiderit: Major Wilson (Bulls); vice-presidents: Messrs North (Omimi), Johnson (11 awera); council: Messrs Banks (Matamata), Elworthy (Timaru), McGowan (Auckland). Hart (Morrinsville), Cadwalladen (Greytown), Marchant (Cardiff). Royds (Christchurch), Eades (Eadendale), and Jolly (Waiuku). A motion was carried unanimouslv prolesting against the removal of the restrictions on the importation of stock from countries suffering from foot and mouth disease. Clydesdale Society. At the annual meeting of the Clvdesdale Horse Society of New Zealand*, the report stated that the demand for horses was very active and prices for good sorts were still remunerative. It was stated that the membership on. now 750. The following members retiring from tho council were re-elected unopposed: -Messrs J. Knight (Feilding). R. Knight (Longburn). E. Washer (Okaiawa), H.
