SERIOUS FLOODS
DAMAGE IN AUSTRALIA. BRIDGES WASHED AWAY SYDNEY, June 12. Serious flooding has occurred in a number of places on the Murrurabidgee and Tumut Rivers. The whole of the Tumut Valley is under water. Police have rescued several marooned families in boats. Extensive damage has been done to crops. A large concrete bridge over Hillias Creek on the Sydney-Melbourne road was carried away and several other bridges have been washed away. The Albury and Wagga districts fear icrious floods as the rivers are still ingTWO DEATHS CAUSED Received June 12, B.' p.m. SYDNEY, June 12. 4 Severe floods in southern New South Wales already are responsible for two deaths. The victims are An irew Peck, aged 43, station manager, nf Dubbo, and James Roddy, of Coolac.
